Petroleum Development Corp. names CEO, chairman

HOUSTON, Feb. 11 -- Petroleum Development Corp., Bridgeport, W. Va., announced that Steven R. Williams has been appointed chairman and CEO. He succeeds James N. Ryan, who announced his retirement last year.

Williams joined the company as president in 1983, and has served in that position since that time.
