HOUSTON, Apr. 27 -- Robert F. Heinemann, current chairman of the board, Berry Petroleum Co., Bakersfield, Ca., has been named interim president and CEO.

The company is engaged in a search for a successor for Jerry V. Hoffman, who is retiring as president and CEO.
