Whiting Petroleum appoints vice-president

Whiting Petroleum Corp., Denver, has appointed Douglas Lang vice-president, reservoir engineering/acquisitions.

HOUSTON, Nov. 1 -- Whiting Petroleum Corp., Denver, has appointed Douglas Lang vice-president, reservoir engineering/acquisitions.

Lang joined Whiting in December 1999. Most recently he served as manager of acquisitions and reservoir engineering. Lang has 30 years of acquisition and reservoir engineering experience including positions with Amoco Corp., Petro Lewis Oil Corp., UMC Petroleum Corp., and Ocean Energy Inc.
