Ashland Specialty Chemical names vice-president

Ashland Inc., Covington, Ky., announced that Theodore L. Harris was named vice-president, Ashland Specialty Chemical Co., and general manager, composite polymers.

HOUSTON, Jan. 28 -- Ashland Inc., Covington, Ky., announced that Theodore L. Harris was named vice-president, Ashland Specialty Chemical Co., and general manager, composite polymers.

Harris will be responsible for driving the growth strategy in the global composites marketplace; delivering a strengthened technology offering; and achieving global alignment in marketing, sales, manufacturing, technology and customer service. He will be based in Dublin, Ohio.

Previously, he was general manager of the food ingredients division for FMC Corp. in Philadelphia. He had been affiliated with various FMC operations since 1992.
