BHP Billiton appoints president, gas and power

BHP Billiton appointed Rebecca McDonald as president, gas and power, and a member of the BHP Billiton Executive Committee, effective Mar. 29.

HOUSTON, Mar. 17 -- Australia's BHP Billiton Ltd. appointed Rebecca McDonald as president, gas and power, and a member of the BHP Billiton Executive Committee, effective Mar. 29.

She will have responsibility for the development and implementation of BHP Billiton's gas marketing and commercialization strategy.

McDonald has more than 20 years experience in the energy industry, including top-ranking executive jobs with Enron Corp. Global Assets and Amoco Energy Development Corp.
