Alto Energy to become Grand Gulf Energy

Alto Energy International Ltd. of Perth announced plans to change its name to Grand Gulf Energy Ltd., subject to approval of shareholders during a June 26 meeting.

HOUSTON, May 29 -- Alto Energy International Ltd. of Perth announced plans to change its name to Grand Gulf Energy Ltd., subject to approval of shareholders during a June 26 meeting.

Alto said the name change reflects its change of focus to conventional oil and gas plays in Oklahoma and Louisiana and the divestiture of its Appalachian basin interests.
