Maverick names Watt chairman, CEO

Maverick Oil & Gas Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., appointed James A. Watt chairman and chief executive officer. Watt succeeds V. Ray Harlow, who has resigned.

HOUSTON, Aug. 2 -- Maverick Oil & Gas Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., appointed James A. Watt chairman and chief executive officer. Watt succeeds V. Ray Harlow, who has resigned.

Most recently Watt served in similar positions with Remington Oil & Gas Corp. Watt led Remington for 9 years.

Previously, Watt worked with Amoco Corp., Union Texas Petroleum Corp., Nerco Oil & Gas Corp., and Seagull Energy Corp.
