Enerplus makes executive appointment

Enerplus Resources Fund appointed Robert Symonds vice-president, Canadian operations.

HOUSTON, Mar. 19 -- Enerplus Resources Fund appointed Robert Symonds vice-president, Canadian operations. Symonds will be responsible for overseeing the operations and development of the Canadian conventional asset base.

Symonds has more than 29 years of experience in the Canadian oil and gas industry, primarily with Shell Canada and most recently at a midsized Canadian independent producer. He was a director of corporate strategies at Shell and was also responsible for managing a division with over 100,000 boe/d of production and a capital budget of over $400 million.
