Total appoints E&P vice-president

HOUSTON, Oct. 9 -- Total SA has appointed Jacques Marraud des Grottes senior vice-president, exploration and production, in Africa as well as naming him to the management committee.

Des Grottes headed Elf Gabon during 2001-04 and most recently served as managing director in Nigeria.
