Murphy Oil promotes manager of international operations

C. Jason Smith has been promoted to the position of manager, international operations, for Murphy Oil Corp. unit Murphy Exploration & Production Co., International.

HOUSTON, Feb. 27 -- C. Jason Smith has been promoted to the position of manager, international operations, for Murphy Oil Corp. unit Murphy Exploration & Production Co., International. In his new position, Smith will oversee international nonoperated ventures in Ecuador and Alaska for the company.
Smith joined Murphy as a senior planning analyst in September 2000. Prior to that, he served in various operating roles for a major oil company.
