ChevronTexaco names Sam Laidlaw executive vice-president, business development

ChevronTexaco Corp. named Sam Laidlaw as its executive vice-president, business development, effective May 1.

HOUSTON, May 6 -- ChevronTexaco Corp. named Sam Laidlaw as its executive vice-president, business development, effective May 1.

The former CEO of the London-based Enterprise Oil PLC, Laidlaw will report to ChevronTexaco Chairman and CEO Dave O'Reilly.

Laidlaw will be responsible for identifying and developing new, large-scale business opportunities worldwide. He also will serve on the corporation's executive and strategic planning committees.
