Suncor Energy appoints senior vice-president, chief financial officer

Suncor Energy Inc., Calgary, appointed J. Kenneth Alley as its senior vice-president and chief financial officer, effective July 1.

HOUSTON, May 30 -- Suncor Energy Inc., Calgary, appointed J. Kenneth Alley as its senior vice-president and chief financial officer, effective July 1.

Alley, current vice-president, finance, will succeed Steve Williams, who is moving to Fort McMurray, Alta., to lead Suncor's oil sands operations as executive vice-president, oil sands.

Alley, who has worked for Suncor almost 20 years, will direct Suncor's financial operations and will guide the company's sustainable development initiatives, information technology strategies, and services.
