American Oil and Gas names new president

American Oil and Gas Inc., Denver, named Andrew P. Calerich its president and chief financial officer, succeeding Patrick D. O'Brien, who resigned as president but remains as CEO and chairman.

HOUSTON, July 17 -- American Oil and Gas Inc., Denver, named Andrew P. Calerich its president and chief financial officer, succeeding Patrick D. O'Brien, who resigned as president but remains as CEO and chairman.

Calerich previously served as vice-president and chief financial officer for PYR Energy Corp., Denver. Prior to PYR, he was a financial consultant for oil and gas producers.

American Oil and Gas, Inc. is an independent engaged in exploration, development, and production of hydrocarbon reserves primarily in the Rocky Mountain region.
