PDVSA Director named Citgo president and CEO

Citgo Petroleum Corp., Tulsa, said Petróleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) director Luis Marín has been named Citgo president and chief executive officer, replacing Oswaldo Contreras, effective Aug. 1.

HOUSTON, July 23 -- Citgo Petroleum Corp., Tulsa, said Petróleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) director Luis Marín has been named Citgo president and chief executive officer, replacing Oswaldo Contreras, effective Aug. 1.

Before this appointment, Marín was head of PDVSA's eastern division. He will relocate to Tulsa from Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela.

Contreras was appointed Citgo's president and CEO in October 2000.
