INGAA elects Harold N. Kvisle as chairman

The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) board has TransCanada Corp. Pres. and CEO Harold N. Kvisle as INGAA's 2004 chairman.

HOUSTON, Oct. 10 -- The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) board has selected TransCanada Corp. Pres. and CEO Harold N. Kvisle as INGAA's 2004 chairman.

Kvisle succeeds Fred J. Fowler, Duke Energy Corp. president and chief operating officer, as INGAA chairman.

He the first Canadian elected as INGAA chairman, which the organization said reflects the importance of Canada in meeting the natural gas demands of North American.

In addition, INGAA elected Keith O. Rattie, president and CEO for Questar Corp. as first vice-chairman.
