Medicine Bow Energy acquires Ensign Oil & Gas Inc.

Medicine Bow Energy Corp. completed the acquisition of Ensign Oil & Gas Inc. from Merchant Navy Officers Pension Fund for an undisclosed sum. Medicine Bow and Ensign both are Denver companies.

HOUSTON, June 5 -- Medicine Bow Energy Corp. completed the acquisition of Ensign Oil & Gas Inc. from Merchant Navy Officers Pension Fund for an undisclosed sum. Medicine Bow and Ensign both are Denver companies.
Ensign held interests in more than 600 producing wells, 74% operated, in eight Midcontinent and Rocky Mountain states. Medicine Bow's proved reserves were 154 bcfe, 56% gas, as of Apr. 1.
The acquisition brings Medicine Bow's net production to 32 MMcfed, said Mitchell L. Solich, president.
