Gaz de France gains interest in seven permits in Dutch North Sea

Gaz de France (GDF) has obtained interests in seven exploration and production permits in the Dutch North Sea, six of which are operated by Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappej BV (NAM) and one by Wintershall AG.

HOUSTON, Nov. 13 -- Gaz de France (GDF) has obtained interests in seven exploration and production permits in the Dutch North Sea, six of which are operated by Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappej BV (NAM) and one by Wintershall AG.

Neither GDF's share or the cost of its acquisition was disclosed.

The permits include one producing field and five fields to be developed. The NAM-operated licenses include three production licenses—15,K2b, K3a—one license nearing approval for development (E16a) and two exploration acreages (E17a-b and D18a). The Wintershall production license is D12a.
