Petrobras names new financial, investor relations director

Sergio Gabrielli de Azevedo has been named as the new financial and investor relations director for Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras), effective Feb. 1.

HOUSTON, Jan. 23 -- Sergio Gabrielli de Azevedo has been named as the new financial and investor relations director for Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras), effective Feb. 1. Azevedo succeeds Joao Pinheiro Nogueira Batista, who is leaving the company for personal reasons.

Gabrielli, who will be confirmed during Petrobras's board meeting scheduled for Jan. 31, will report to Petrobras's recently installed president, Jose Eduardo Dutra.
