HOUSTON, June 19 -- Duke Energy International (DEI) has named Michael Dulaney and John Enloe senior vice-presidents for Latin America.

Enloe will supervise DEI's operations in northern Latin America, including Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, Peru, and Ecuador. Dulaney, meanwhile, will lead the company's business in the Southern Cone, including Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile.

DEI president and CEO Richard McGee noted that dividing the company's Latin American operations into two regions "makes good management sense" given the unit's increased size, scope, complexity, and diversity.

Dulaney started his career with DEI in 1998 as managing director, southern Latin America, and was named vice-president, Brazil, in November 1999. Before joining DEI, he served as manager, development, at InterGen Energy Inc. in Coral Gables, Fla. Prior to that he held international positions in energy and banking.

Enloe joined DEI in July 1999 as managing director, business development, for Latin America. Before that, he served as managing director of the energy advisory group for CIBC Oppenheimer World Markets in Houston during 1997-99. During 1989-97, he held several executive positions for British Gas PLC, the most recent being senior vice-president, business development.
