PDVSA partially reorganizes top management

Venezuela's state oil firm Petroleos de Venezuela SA announced a partial reorganization of some of its top managers.

HOUSTON, Sept. 10 -- Venezuela's state oil firm Petroleos de Venezuela SA announced a partial reorganization of some of its top managers.

Maria Elizabeth Lizardo, currently serving as vice-president of PDVSA's petrochemical subsidiary Pequiven SA, will now head Bariven SA, a unit of PDVSA's PDV Services unit.

Edgar Paredes, now serving as head of PDVSA's refining department, will assume the role of president of Pequiven. Succeeding Paredes as refining department head will be Raul Aleman, who most recently served as general manager of PDVSA's supply and logistics department.

Luis Pacheco, currently serving as PDVSA planning director, has been named president of PDVSA's US operations. Cesar Jimenez will succeed Pacheco. Most recently, Jimenez served as president of Intevep, PDVSA's research and development subsidiary. Succeeding Jimenez will be Luis Andres Rojas.
