Occidental makes major shifts in operations

Occidental Petroleum Corp. Chairman and CEO Dr. Ray R. Irani said the company's oil and gas operations will be divided into two core regions: Western Hemisphere and Eastern Hemisphere.

HOUSTON, Jan. 18 -- Occidental Petroleum Corp. Chairman and CEO Dr. Ray R. Irani said the company's oil and gas operations will be divided into two core regions: Western Hemisphere and Eastern Hemisphere.

John W. Morgan has been appointed president of Oxy Oil & Gas Western Hemisphere, and R. Casey Olson is president of Oxy Oil & Gas Eastern Hemisphere.
