Ineos FPS has let a contract to Bilfinger for maintenance of the Forties Pipeline System in Scotland. The 3-year contract includes an option of a further 2-year extension.

Under the agreement, Bilfinger will provide access, insulation, coating, and fireproofing services for projects as well as maintenance work for both the onshore and offshore infrastructure of the 169-km pipeline system. The contract took effect in January 2024.

The 100% Ineos-owned FPS has a nominal capacity of over 600,000 b/d serving the central area of the North Sea in both the UK and Norway. It transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either raw gas or fractionated gas products at Grangemouth.
