SPE 3R Petroleum, Petrobras close sale of Rio Grande do Norte fields

SPE 3R Petroleum SA, a wholly owned subsidiary of 3R Petroleum e Participações SA, closed a deal to purchase onshore field interests in Potiguar basin, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, from Petrobras.

SPE 3R Petroleum SA, a wholly owned subsidiary of 3R Petroleum e Participações SA, closed a deal to purchase onshore field interests in Potiguar basin, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, from Petrobras. The deal includes Petrobras’s entire interest in Aratum, Macau, Serra, Salina Cristal, Lagoa Aroeira, Porto Carão, and Sanhaçu fields. Current combined production is 5,000 boe/d.

Payment of R$676.8 million went to Petrobras after all previous conditions were fulfilled.

 Petrobras held 100% interest in all concessions, except Sanhaçu in which it was operator with 50% stake with Petrogal Brasil SA holding the remaining 50%.
