The US Bureau of Land Management's Rawlins, Wyo., field office will hold its fifth semi-annual oil and gas industry conference on road, highway and pipeline projects on Feb. 25.

The one-day conference, which will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Jeffrey Memorial Community Center, will feature discussions of information related to road, highway and transportation issues, with some follow-up on surface disturbance reclamation, according to Patrick Madigan, BLM's Rawlins Field Office manager.

"We encourage energy industry representatives, landowners, government representatives from all levels and any other interested parties to participate," he said. The semi-annual conferences are a public outreach initiative of a pilot program in the Rawlins field office authorized under the 2005 Energy Policy Act, he noted.

Presentations are scheduled by employees from BLM, Wyoming's Department of Transportation, Natural Resources Group LLC, KC Harvey Water and Resource Consulting, and local county engineers, Madigan said. More information is available from the BLM field office in Rawlins, he indicated.
