ENI, BP, and Total proved potential of discovered gas in the North El Hammad license in the conventional Egyptian waters of the Nile Delta (OGJ Online, July 2, 2020).
The Bashrush well, 11 km from shore, encountered 102 m net gas pay in high quality sandstones of the Abu Madi formation. A production test flowed up to 32 MMscfd, limited by testing facilities. Future well deliverability is estimated up to 100 MMscfd, with up to 800 b/d condensate. Production will tie-in to nearby existing infrastructures.
ENI is operator of the license (37.5%) with partners BP (37.5%) and Total (25%).
