Breitling Energy Corp. of Dallas spudded its Sellers 60 #1 well in the Permian basin of West Texas on Sept. 21. The well targeted a vertical depth of 9,000 ft.

Chris Faulkner, Breitling chairman and chief executive officer, expected that the well would intersect similar pay zones as three earlier wells: the #1 Hoppe 63, Parramore #1, and the Sellers 66 #1, all of which were drilled to a similar depth during 2014-15. Potential pay zones anticipated include the Albaugh and Middle Wolfcamp, Triple M. Credo, Cisco sands, Strawn lime, and the Cline shale. Photo from Breitling Energy.
