PetroQuest starts flow at Louisiana Cris R Massive find
PetroQuest Energy Inc., Lafayette, La., said the Thibodeaux-1 discovery well on the La Cantera prospect in Vermilion Parish, La., has gone on production at 470 b/d of oil, 23 MMcfd of gas, and 875 b/d of natural gas liquids.
Participant Yuma Exploration & Production Co., Houston, said the well logged 248 ft of net pay in Cris R Massive sands (OGJ Online, Nov. 11, 2011).
PetroQuest, which has a 17% net revenue interest in the discovery well, is drilling at 13,000 ft at the Broussard Estates-2, an unbooked development location on the prospect. This well is expected to reach total depth of 18,900 ft in late second quarter 2012. PetroQuest has 24% working interest.
PetroQuest will shoot a 3D seismic survey over its Thunder Bayou prospect in the second quarter of 2012.
