American Energy Group Ltd.’s Hycarbex-American Energy Inc. unit, Westport, Conn., said it will further explore the Yasin 2768-7 exploratory license in Pakistan.

The company didn’t describe the extent of the renewed exploratory effort. Hycarbex-American said it resumed gas flow on extended well test July 12 at Haseeb gas field, where the EWT was interrupted earlier when a third party encountered problems in commissioning a gas processing plant.

The Haseeb-1 well is making 3.5 MMcfd and is expected to attain 15 MMcfd once the plant is commissioned. The well had delivered 106 MMscf of gas to Sui Southern Gas Co. Ltd. as of Aug. 11.

Based upon evaluation of currently available technical data by a consultant, Haseeb field is estimated to contain a mean 177 bcf recoverable, Hycarbex said. The figure is subject to further confirmation and full evaluation after an appraisal program.
