ADNOC awards $658 million in framework agreements to push upstream growth

ADNOC has awarded framework agreements valued at $658 million for cementing services to advance drilling growth and expand crude oil production capacity.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) has awarded framework agreements valued at $658 million for cementing services to advance drilling growth and expand crude oil production capacity. 

The framework agreements were awarded to Haliburton Worldwide Ltd. Abu Dhabi, Baker Middle East, Emirates Western Oil Well Drilling & Maintenance Co., NESR Energy Services, and Emjel Oil Field Services.

The awards cover ADNOC’s onshore and offshore fields and will run for 5 years with an option for a further 2 years.

The award for cementing services takes the total value of ADNOC’s drilling-related framework agreements and procurement awards since November 2021 to over $8.5 billion.

Abu Dhabi targets self-sufficiency in natural gas and expansion of oil-production capacity to 5 million b/d by 2030 under an expanded budget approved in 2018 by the Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC) (OGJ Online, Nov. 5, 2018).
