The work is Sembcorp’s third engineering, procurement, and construction contract in collaboration with Altera and follows the delivery of FPSO Pioneiro de Libra and FPSO Petrojarl Cicade de Itajai in 2017 and 2012 respectively.
Dorado will be one of the largest oil developments in Australia in the past decade.
A final investment decision is scheduled for mid-2022 with first oil by 2026.
Santos is operator with 80% interest. Carnarvon Petroleum Ltd. holds the remaining 20%.
