The agreements with Arabian Industries Projects (AIP) LLC and Special Technical Services (STS) LLC encompass the design and execution of more than 200 on-plot projects and will run for 7 years with an optional 3-year extension, PDO said in a Mar. 24 release.

The scope and scale of contracts are span the execution of maintenance, integrity, field improvement proposals, turnaround activities, and the delivery of brownfield projects.

Under the terms of the deals, AIP will carry out project delivery in the northern section of Block 6 and maintenance and integrity work in the south, while STS will be responsible for project delivery in the south and maintenance and integrity in the north.

PDO, owned by the Government of Oman, Royal Dutch Shell, Total, and Partex, operates a 90,000-sq km onshore concession, with 209 producing oil fields, 55 producing gas fields, and more than 8,000 active wells, according to its website.
