Finder Energy acquires Central North Sea lease

Finder Energy Ltd. has been awarded 100% interest in P2530 by the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) in the 32nd UK Offshore Licensing Round.

Finder Energy Ltd. has been awarded 100% interest in P2530 by the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) in the 32nd UK Offshore Licensing Round.

The license is in the Central North Sea 140 km east northeast from Aberdeen in 90 m of water. It covers an area of 576 sq km and is surrounded by oil fields including Greater Kittiwake Area and Forties.

Finder has identified stacked play potential with key objectives being the Lower Cretaceous and Upper Jurassic sandstone reservoirs.

On Sept. 3, 2020, OGA offered 113 license areas for award over 260 blocks or part-blocks to 65 companies in the 32nd Offshore Licensing Round.
