Block Energy PLC is ready to send gas to its Early Production Facility (EPF) on the West Rustavi oil and gas field.

Block Energy PLC is ready to send gas to its Early Production Facility (EPF) on West Rustavi oil and gas field onshore Georgia.

Construction of Block's gathering line between the EPF and the WR-38Z well has been completed on time and on budget (OGJ Online, Sept 24, 2020). The pipeline has been successfully pressure tested at 6,600 kilopascals (kPa) with no failures. The EPF is ready to receive gas from wells WR-16aZ and WR-38Z, but the wells will remain shut-in to conserve gas until the gas sales line has been constructed and gas sales can start.

Bago LLC has agreed to purchase gas from the EPF, has received all required permits, and is continuing with the construction of its gas sales line to recover time lost consequent to the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the sales line is complete, oil production from West Rustavi will recommence and first sales of associated gas will be achieved.

West Rustravi has produced 41,000 bbl light sweet crude with remaining 900,000 bbl gross oil reserves in the Middle Eocene. Gross unrisked 2C contingent oil resources is 38 million bbld in Middle, Upper, and Lower Eocene (condensate).

Block Energy has 100% working interest in West Rustavi.
