ExxonMobil has let a contract to Ocean Infinity for high-resolution autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) geophysical and geotechnical data acquisition within the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana.
ExxonMobil has let a contract to Ocean Infinity for high-resolution autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) geophysical and geotechnical data acquisition within the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana.
Ocean Infinity will simultaneously deploy AUVs in water depths of 70-2,150 m over an area of 3,100 square km.
Stabroek Block covers 6.6 million acres (26,800 sq km). ExxonMobil affiliate Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Ltd. is operator and holds 45% interest. Hess Guyana Exploration Ltd. holds 30% and CNOOC Petroleum Guyana Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CNOOC Ltd., holds 25%.
