Sharjah National Oil Corp. (SNOC) discovered new gas reserves in Al Hadiba field, north of the Al Sajaa Industrial Area in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
The discovery holds “promising economically viable quantities,” according to a May 4 statement from the Sharjah Petroleum Council (SPC), a Government of Sharjah undertaking.
The discovery well will be tested in the days ahead to confirm the quantities and potential gas reserves of the field for development, SPC said.
Al Hadiba field is the fifth onshore field in Sharjah, in addition to Al-Saja’a, Kahif, Mahani, and Muayed (converted into gas storage) fields.
