HOUSTON, Sept. 27 -- Desire Petroleum PLC has spudded the Rachel 14/15-1 exploratory well in the North Falkland basin in the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic (OGJ Online, June 8, 2010).

The Rachel prospect, in Tranche D, and has an estimated target depth of 2,850 m (see map, OGJ, May 17, 2010, p. 37). Drilling time is estimated at 35 days.
