HOUSTON, Sept. 9
– Circle Oil PLC has ordered 62 km of 8-in. pipe to extend the gas trunkline in northern Morocco’s Rharb basin. Capacity of the pipeline will be 23 MMscfd.

The company has spudded KAB-1, first of five wells to be drilled on the Sebou permit. It is projected to Miocene Guebbas sand at 1,360 m. All five wells target Miocene-aged gas sands at 900-1,700 m.

Circle Oil’s Moroccan wells have had cumulative production of 923 MMscf of gas from November 2008 to the end of August 2010. Production range is 1.4-2.2 MMscfd. Local industry consumes the gas.

Circle Oil has 75% interest in the permit, and Morocco’s state ONHYM, which formerly operated the block, has 25%.
