HOUSTON, Aug. 4 -- PetroQuest Resources Inc., Arlington, Tex., plans to recomplete and restore to production 16 gas and oil wells it has acquired in Vinton County.

PetroQuest's Mountaineer Gas Transmission Inc. unit will feed the output into part of a 215-mile gas pipeline and gathering system owned by PetroQuest's Tyr Energy Inc. unit.

A certified petroleum geologist is evaluating the company's properties in the county, including the 16 wells, for their production potential.
