Howard Energy Partners names low carbon solutions division leader
Howard Energy Partners (HEP) has named Richard Sherrill as division president of Howard Low Carbon Solutions.
Sherrill brings more than 35 years of leadership experience in the energy sector with the past 5 years devoted to developing carbon sequestration projects in the Midwest and MidAtlantic regions under the umbrella of his company Clean Aire Partners (CAP). Previously, Sherrill served as the founder and president of Ceritas Holdings, a private equity backed midstream infrastructure developer and operator, chief operating officer of Duke Energy NA, and vice-president of Dynegy.
HEP is finalizing two US Department of Energy carbon capture and sequestration funding grants, including a $9 million CarbonSAFE Phase II grant under a consortium between HEP, Talos, the Port of Corpus Christi, and the Texas A&M University System (OGJ Online, June 5, 2023). The two grants are designed to accelerate the development of a centralized solution to capture and manage industrial CO2 emissions.
