Talos affiliate lets FPU contract extension for Phoenix field production

A Talos Energy Inc. affiliate let a 1-year contract extension to Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc. for use of the Helix Producer I floating production vessel in Green Canyon, Gulf of Mexico. The extension term is scheduled to conclude on June 1, 2024, the energy services company said in a November release. Talos holds the option to extend the contract annually.

The Helix Producer I is a ship-shaped dynamically positioned floating production unit designed to produce hydrocarbons and export to shore via pipeline or tanker. The vessel has been processing production from Phoenix oil field since 2010.
