Apache taps Wood Group to operate 21 Gulf of Mexico platforms

Apache Corp., Houston, has awarded Wood Group Production Services (WGPS) a contract to operate an additional 21 offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, bringing the number of facilities operated by Wood Group Production Services for Apache to 36.

HOUSTON, June 29 -- Apache Corp., Houston, has awarded Wood Group Production Services (WGPS) a contract to operate an additional 21 offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, bringing the number of facilities operated by Wood Group Production Services for Apache to 36.

WGPS, headquartered in Houston, has three geographical units based in Houma and Lafayette, La., and Rockport Tex. It is a subsidiary of John Wood Group PLC.
