Lucas to drill on acquired Texas acreage

HOUSTON, Aug. 31 -- Lucas Energy Inc., Houston, plans to begin drilling several wells this year on 2,000 net producing acres it has acquired from Wilson Oil & Gas in Gonzales and Karnes counties, Tex.
Lucas paid $2.2 million plus restricted shares worth $550,000 for properties on which nine wells now are on production.
