HOUSTON, Nov. 20 -- BOC Group, Murray Hill, NJ, has opened a new depot in Hobbs, NM, to distribute liquefied carbon dioxide for use in boosting production from natural gas wells in the Permian basin.

The CO2 is injected under high pressure into production wells to fracture deep underground formations, facilitating gas and oil flow from reserves.
