HOUSTON, Sept. 8 -- ConocoPhillips (UK) Ltd. has awarded a multimillion-pound contract to Wood Group Pressure Control LP, Houston, to supply valves for the topsides of the Britannia Satellites Phase 1 (BritSats) development project on the UK Continental Shelf.

Britannia field is operated by the ConocoPhillips-Chevron Corp. joint venture Britannia Operator Ltd. (OGJ Online, Mar. 31, 2003).

The project involves a new platform linked via a bridge to the existing Britannia production installation that serves as a processing facility for the Brodgar and Callanish satellites. First production is expected in late 2006 (OGJ Online, Oct. 1, 2003).

Under the 2-year contract, Wood Group will supply 3,000 valves, including all manual, actuated, and pressure safety valves plus supply chain management, storage, and inspection services for BritSats.
