ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) for wildcat well 25/7-10 in the North Sea.
Transocean Norge will drill the well in Block 25/7, Production License (PL) 782 S, ConocoPhillips said in a release.
NPD’s award of a drilling permit follows the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway’s grant of drilling permits for well 25/7-10—also known as the Lamba prospect—earlier this month (OGJ Online, June 8, 2022).
ConocoPhillips is operator at PL 782 S (40%) with partners Equinor Energy AS (20%), Aker BP (20%) and Wintershall Dea Norge AS (20%).
