Zhenis Operating LLP, a 50-50 joint venture of Lukoil and KazMunayGas, will drill an exploration well and shoot a 3D seismic survey on the Zhenis block in the Caspian Sea offshore Kazakhstan (OGJ Online, Dec. 4, 2018).
The partners have signed a contract for exploration and development on the block with the Kazakh Ministry of Energy.
The block is 80 km offshore. Aktau is the nearest port.
