Zennor Petroleum Ltd. has received approval from the UK Oil & Gas Authority for its two-well development of Finlaggan gas and condensate field in the Central UK North Sea (OGJ Online, Aug. 2, 2018).
The Transocean Paul B. Loyd Jr. semisubmersible rig has drilled and cased the first development well, F1, which is ready for subsea completion and clean-up. The wells, in 420 ft of water, will be tied back to the Britannia platform operated by ConocoPhillips 11 miles northeast.
TechnipFMC is handling subsea construction, including the laying of a 10-in. pipe-in-pipe production flowline and electrohydraulic control umbilical to Britannia.
Zennor expects production to begin in the fourth quarter of 2020 and to peak at 80 MMscfd of gas and 4,500 b/d of 52.3° gravity condensate.
The company holds a 100% interest in Block 21/05c.
