Aug. 28, 2023 | Perenco UK Ltd. and Carbon Catalyst Ltd. earlier this month won a license under the North Sea Transition Authority’s first competitive carbon storage permitting round to progress the Poseidon CCS project encompassing Leman gas fields. The project is due to come online by 2029. Initial CO2 injection rates will be 1.5 mtpy, ramping up to 10 mtpy by 2030, and peaking at 40 mtpy by 2040. Photo from Perenco.
