Alliance Wood Group Engineering

Houston, has named Terrance N. Ivers to the position of executive vice-president. Ivers has more than 24 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, serving most recently at KBR. He earned a BS degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Houston.

Alliance Wood Group Engineering is a subsidiary of international energy services company, John Wood Group PLC. Alliance specializes in engineering, design, procurement, project management, and construction management of on- and offshore upstream oil and gas facilities and structures.

Caterpillar Inc.

Peoria, Ill., has announced the creation of Caterpillar Global Pipeline, a new division that will have global focus on the pipeline construction industry. A new Caterpillar dealership, PipeLine Machinery International, has also been formed.

PipeLine Machinery International is comprised of the existing pipeline divisions from within several existing Caterpillar dealers that were selected to form a limited partnership, creating the new global dealership.

Both new businesses are headquartered in Houston, with strategic locations around the world.

Expro International Group PLCclass="Bodytype">Reading, UK, has announced its acquisition of Read Matre Instruments AS (RMI), a Norway-based subsidiary of Read ASA. RMI will operate within Expro’s subsurface systems business unit.

Read Matre Instruments AS is a leading supplier of subsea sensor and monitoring technologies that withstand extreme temperatures and pressures encountered in deepwater operations.

Expro International Group PLC is a leading international oil field service provider of products and services for completion and management of oil and gas wells. Their products and services are packaged in three business units: cased hole services, subsurface systems, and surface and environmental systems.

Fusion Petroleum Technologies Inc. and Renegade Geophysics LLC

Houston and Boulder, respectively, have announced formation of a strategic alliance in seismic data processing, whereby clients will receive integrated processing, time imaging, and seismic analysis stream addressing the difficult challenges found in land and marine ocean-bottom cable data.

Renegade will establish its processing services operation under the name Renegade Geo-Services at Fusion’s office in The Woodlands, Tex. Bob Choate, formerly with Seitel-Matrix Solutions, has been named vice-president of data processing for Renegade Geo-Services.

Toftejorg Technology A/S

Ishoej, Denmark, has changed its name to Oreco A/S. Oreco stands for Oil REcovery COmpany.

Oreco A/S develops solutions for non-man entry cleaning of oil storage tanks and systems for recovery of waste oil within the oil and petrochemical industries.

Geotrace Technologies Inc.

Houston, has announced the appointment of Les Mitchell as vice-president for Europe, Africa, and Middle East, based in London; Brian Williams as general manager of Dallas seismic and reservoir services operations; and Jaime Stein as chief geophysicist, based in Houston.

Mitchell has a BS degree in applied physics from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. He was with Schlumberger for 13 years, and also has worked for Halliburton Energy Services and Landmark.

Williams joined Geotrace after a career with Western Geophysical.

Stein received a PhD from the University of Sussex, UK, and has 20 years of experience in a variety of research and management positions in the industry.

Geotrace Technologies Inc. is an integrated, reservoir services company that provides subsurface imaging solutions to the oil and gas industry.

Marsh Bellofram

Newell, WV, has appointed Joseph J. Colletti Jr. as president. Colletti has more than 25 years of management experience. He will continue to hold the president position with two sister companies: MDT Software, Alpharetta, Ga., and Tek-Air Systems, Danbury, Conn.

Marsh Bellofram is a leading supplier in pneumatics and electro-pneumatic controls.

Soloco LLC

Lafayette, La., has announced the appointment of Michael W. Sparks to vice-president of sales & marketing for its Gulf Coast oil field services business. Sparks earned a BA degree in marketing at the University of Houston, and has been with Soloco for 14 years.

Soloco LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Newpark Resources Inc., is a leading provider of oil field and environmental services in the Gulf Coast region, offering a complete line of services in environmental remediation, pit design, well hookup, connection, and maintenance.

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products North America

Florence, SC, has promoted Jeff Hoffart to senior vice-president and general manager for the Florence operations. Hoffart, who holds a BS degree in welding engineering technology from LeTourneau University, has been with ESAB for 21 years.
