He joined Swift Energy in 2004 as vice-president of international operations of wholly owned subsidiary Swift Energy International LLC.

Banks has 40 years of oil and gas industry experience. He has held senior-level positions at Santa Fe International Corp., Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Co., Mosbacher Energy Co., and, before joining Swift, Vanco Energy Co., where he was executive vice-president of operations.
